Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of certiplus.io and the certification services provided by Certiplus LLC ("Certiplus", "we"). Please read them carefully: by creating an account, logging in, buying a voucher or taking an exam, you agree to them.

1. Who we are

Certiplus is a professional certification platform operated by Certiplus LLC, located at 1401 Sawgrass Corporate Pkwy, Sunrise, FL 33323, USA. We offer certification exams in areas such as Scrum and agile frameworks, software development, data analytics, management and digital marketing, along with practice simulators and verifiable certificates.

2. Your account

  • You need an account to take exams, redeem coupons or buy vouchers. You must register with true, complete and up-to-date information and verify your email address.
  • Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out with your account.
  • We may suspend or disable an account if we detect identity theft, fraud, a breach of these terms or a risk to the security of the platform.
  • For security reasons, we limit the number of login, registration, password recovery and coupon redemption attempts within a period of time.

3. Vouchers and coupons

  • A voucher or coupon gives access to the exam of a specific certification level. Each code can be used only once.
  • Each access includes the number of attempts set for the corresponding exam. An attempt is used when you submit the exam, not when you start it. Support may grant additional attempts at its discretion.
  • When you buy vouchers, the first one for each level is automatically assigned to your account. If you buy more than one, or you already have access to or hold the certification for that level, the others become codes you can gift; whoever receives them redeems them with "Claim coupon". You are responsible for sharing them only with the intended people.
  • Coupons may have an expiration date or a usage limit, which are disclosed when they are delivered. An expired, inactive or voided coupon cannot be redeemed.

4. Purchases and payments

  • Prices are shown in the currency displayed in the store (US dollars by default). Applicable taxes are calculated based on your country at checkout.
  • Online payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for the orders. Paddle handles payment collection, invoicing and taxes, and its buyer terms also apply to your order.
  • Certiplus does not receive or store your card or other payment details.
  • Your order is confirmed when the payment provider notifies us that the payment was approved; we issue the vouchers at that moment. Some payments may be held for review before they are confirmed.
  • You may cancel an order while it is unpaid. If a payment arrives after cancellation, we honor it and issue the vouchers.

5. Refunds

You may request a refund within 14 days of the payment date, as long as the voucher has not been used to take an exam. Refunds are processed through Paddle to the original payment method.

When a refund is approved, the unredeemed vouchers of that order are voided. If a voucher was already redeemed, we may remove access to the related exam.

6. Taking exams

The certification exam runs in restricted mode to protect its integrity. By starting it you accept these conditions:

  • The exam runs in fullscreen. Exiting fullscreen or switching tabs, windows or apps counts as a warning and deducts 30 seconds from the available time. At 3 warnings, the exam is submitted automatically.
  • Copying, pasting, printing, right-click and developer tools are disabled during the exam.
  • Time is tracked on our servers: reloading or closing the page does not stop it. Submissions made after the time limit may be flagged for review.
  • For security, the result of the real exam does not show the correct answers. The practice simulator does include a review of each question.
  • Taking the exam on behalf of someone else, receiving help from third parties, using unauthorized materials, and copying, recording, publishing or distributing the questions are prohibited.

7. Certificates

  • If you pass the exam, we issue a digital certificate and badge with the validity period stated on the certificate.
  • Each certificate has a unique identifier and a QR code. Anyone with that identifier can verify on certiplus.io its authenticity, the holder's name, the certification, the issue and expiration dates, the score and its status (valid, expired or revoked).
  • We may revoke a certificate if fraud, a breach of the exam rules or an issuance error is confirmed. Revocation is shown in the public verification and the certificate can no longer be downloaded.
  • You may share your certificate and badge, for example on LinkedIn, to prove the certification you earned.

8. Intellectual property

The platform content, including exams, questions, simulators, materials, badges, trademarks and design, belongs to Certiplus or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal and non-transferable license to use it to prepare for and earn your certification. You may not reproduce, modify, sell or commercially exploit it without written permission.

9. Acceptable use

  • Do not try to access accounts, data or features that are not yours, or to bypass security or exam controls.
  • Do not use automated programs to extract content or interact with the platform.
  • Do not interfere with the operation of the service or use it for unlawful purposes.

10. Service availability

We work to keep the platform available at all times, but there may be interruptions due to maintenance, updates or causes beyond our control. During maintenance we may temporarily pause features such as login, exams or the store. Your coupons, attempts and certificates are kept.

11. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Certiplus will not be liable for indirect damages, loss of opportunities or lost profits arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for the service that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer rights granted to you by law that cannot be waived.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its update date and, if the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or on the platform. Continuing to use the service after the update means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of your country of residence that apply to you.
